Describe a usual day:
Nearly everyday will include some time making sure our financial information is up to date and managing our cash flow. Other than that, my role is quite varied and includes:
• ensuring business processes are in place and working properly to help the business run more efficiently and effectively
• forecasting financial outcomes for business opportunities and projects that may arise and
• reporting the financial results to our many stakeholders.
Whilst I am very happy that our team at Futurepump is growing, I do secretly miss the days when my job would also include going into the field with the product inventor and installing pumps for the farmers.
What’s do you like best about working at Futurepump?
Working for a company where the objective of the business is something that I really care about and working together with people who are also passionate and committed to making this project succeed, from within our company and from the partner organisations that we work with. The ‘free holidays’ to Kenya are also a bonus!
Favourite hobby when not working:
I have many hobbies to keep me busy outside of work but my favourite, without a doubt, is surfing.
