Futurepump is a British-Indian company with offices in Bungay, UK and Rajkot, India. From our custom-built factory and office complex, we manufacture award-winning solar powered irrigation pumps for smallholder farmers to use across the world, with a network of over 30 country-level distributor partners.
As Sales and Marketing Manager you will be in charge of both marketing and sales strategy within the business, heading up a small marketing team and ensuring communication between the sales and marketing teams. You will report directly to the Managing Director (UK), demonstrating impactful strategies to increase revenue, proposing budgets and setting and reporting on short-term and long-term goals.
Examples of tasks within this role
- Come up with impactful strategies to increase revenue (utilising both sales and marketing resources)
- Developing overall sales and marketing strategy
- Identifying target customers
- Upholding the voice and brand of Futurepump
- Setting long and short term goals for both sales and marketing
- Determining the financial needs of sales and marketing – proposing budgets for approval
- Setting clear timelines and deadlines for campaigns
- Establishing marketing and sales policies and setting tasks to team members
- Investigate customer needs, underserved market segments, industry trends
- Plan and manage marketing campaigns
- Monitor marketing and sales success – producing KPI reports for management
Essential Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, as daily communication with global sales and marketing teams will be required as well as regular reporting to Directors
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently, but also be able to lead a team to positive results
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Project management experience
- Experience in producing marketing budgets and reporting to management
- Previous experience of working in a communications or marketing role, working within the agricultural sector is a bonus
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, Google Drive and Google Workspace
Ideal but not essential
- Experience using Adobe Indesign and Photoshop
- Knowledge of CorelDRAW
Location of role:
Hybrid – Remote working with regular (monthly) trips to the Futurepump India factory – Lodhika nr Rajkot, Gujarat.
