Sprinklers are widely used in agriculture and horticulture to irrigate crops. They are specifically designed to distribute water uniformly across crops, ensuring that plants receive the required amount of moisture for healthy growth and development.
The global market for sprinkler irrigation systems is being fueled by the increasing need for higher yields and improved quality, along with concerns about water shortages. By simulating rainfall, sprinkler setup eliminates the need for flooding the land or manual irrigation, reducing water losses caused by evaporation and leaks.
We have seen that farmers worldwide frequently opt to install sprinklers to meet their irrigation needs, as they are affordable, easy to use and relatively efficient to other irrigation options.

Technical Specifications:
- Rotating sprinkler head supplied with upstand pipes (54cm each) and T-piece.
- Upstand pipe diameter: tapered 1-inch to 1.25-inch
- 360-degree water distribution
- Can be directly connected to 1.25- inch hose via the tapered connection
- Wetted area: 3-4m radius per sprinkler when using 4 to 8 sprinklers. Adding more sprinklers will reduce the wetted radius per sprinkler also cause back pressure to pump
How to set up:
To use these sprinklers effectively, it is important to position them at regular intervals along your discharge pipe. You will need to cut the hose to the appropriate length and insert the sprinkler T-piece between the two sections of pipe. Additionally, make sure to cap off the end sprinkler with the black endcap and secure it with a jubilee clip.
For SE1 solar pumps, the optimum number of sprinklers is between 2 to 4 while for SF2 solar pumps, that is between 4 to 8 sprinklers. At maximum flow, each sprinkler can irrigate a circular area with a radius of up to 4m.
Please keep in mind that the number of sprinklers and the radius of water distribution will vary depending on your specific setup. Using less than 2 sprinklers can create excessive back pressure for the pump, potentially causing the air vessels or hose to detach.
Furthermore, adding more sprinklers may not necessarily increase the irrigated area, as each sprinkler’s radius will decrease. The back pressure on the pump will also increase, resulting in a reduced vertical lifting capacity for water (reduced total head).

The SF2H (high-head SF2): To get the SF2H you can purchase an upgrade kit on our webshop. With the SF2H you can pump up to 1,500 L/hr at a maximum head of 25m (120W version) or 45m (240W version).
